And remembrance in public is not only out loud.On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Raising the voice in remembrance when people leave the obligatory prayers was during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
Ibn Abbas said: I knew if they had gone away with that if I heard it.And Sheikh Al-Alusi said in his interpretation of the Almighty’s saying: (And if the speech is spoken aloud, then he knows the secret and it is hidden) [Taha: 7].
And it was said: It was forbidden to speak aloud and to supplicate, because of the Almighty’s saying: {And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and in secret, and without speaking out loud} [Al-A’raf: 205].
And you know that saying that aloud remembrance and supplication are prohibited, should not be allowed.
What was stated by Imam al-Nawawi in his fatwas: that the remembrance of Allah is to be stated out loud where there is no legal prohibition; A project delegated to him.
Rather, it is better than concealment in the madhhab of Imam al-Shafi’i, which is the apparent meaning of the madhhab of Imam Ahmad, and one of the two narrations on the authority of Imam Malik was transmitted by al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari.Remembrance of the tongue and remembrance of the heartThe scholars have stated that one of the best types of dhikr is remembrance of the tongue with the presence of the heart.
Al-Nafrawi said: “Remembrance of God is of two kinds: remembrance with the heart only, and remembrance with the tongue, meaning with the heart.
The second: His remembrance, the Most High, in the sense of bringing Him to the heart when He commands and forbids, and the first of these two is better than the second, and the second is better than dhikr with the tongue, i.e.
with the heart.
